On Christmas Eve my family and I went to church for the 8 pm candle light service. We sang " Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful", "Go, Tell It on the Mountain", "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing"," O Little Town of Bethlehem", "Away in a Manger", "Angels We Have Heard on High", "What Child Is This", "Silent Night, Holly Night!" and Joy to the World". It was a beautiful service. We went o sleep at 11:30p.m. My little Princess told me she was going to get up at 7:00a.m. She got up at 7:30p.m. I tape her coming down the steps like I have done in previous years is a tradition in my family. She came down and sat down in front of our Christmas tree. I gave her the first present from us( Mami and Daddy). She was so happy to open it and find Poppy O Hair and Holly O' Hair in the package. My two Favorite Christmas Songs

The gift where wrap yesterday while listening to Christmas music. My husband was watching me wrap the presents and said " You should work for Boscov's you do such a wonderful job!". On Christmas Eve we are cooking our favorite Puerto Rican meal Arros con Gandules, Pernil and we made Pasteles too. We are also making PR Eggnogs. We are making cup cakes and decorating them with a Penguin theme for Santa, and for our family members who are coming tomorrow with presents for my little Princess. Then at 8p.m we are going to Christmas Eve Candle light service at our church. Two of the Christmas songs that always put me in th Christmas spirit when I listen to them are "Winter Wonderland" and "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire". The famous Christmas song Winter Wonderland was first published in 1934. The composer was Felix Bernard (1897-1944) and the lyricist was Richard B. Smith (1901-1935). Probably the most popular versions of this classic Christmas song, Winter Wonderland, were recorded to high acclaim by the Andrews Sisters and Perry Como. Here you can read the lyrics: Sleigh bells ring, are you listening, In the lane, snow is glistening A beautiful sight, We're happy tonight. Walking in a winter wonderland. Gone away is the bluebird, Here to stay is a new bird He sings a love song, As we go along, Walking in a winter wonderland. In the meadow we can build a snowman, Then pretend that he is Parson Brown He'll say: Are you married? We'll say: No man, But you can do the job When you're in town. Later on, we'll conspire, As we dream by the fire To face unafraid, The plans that we've made, Walking in a winter wonderland. In the meadow we can build a snowman, And pretend that he's a circus clown We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman, Until the other kids knock him down. When it snows, ain't it thrilling, Though your nose gets a chilling We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way, Walking in a winter wonderland. The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire) Chestnuts roasting on an open fire is definitively called the Christmas Song. The lovely music and lyrics were composed by Torme and Wells in 1946. The most popular recording of this truly great Christmas song, Chestnuts roasting on an open fire was recorded by Nat King Cole. The strong imagery in the words to this Christmas song are also complimented by such sentiments as reflected in one of its lines "from kids from from one to ninety-two" which encompass the essence of the family Christmas. The notion that a traditional Christmas should be white is also profligated in the lyric of this Christmas song, Chestnuts roasting on an open fire. The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire) : Lyrics Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping on your nose, Yuletide carols being sung by a choir, And folks dressed up like Eskimos. Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe, Help to make the season bright. Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow, Will find it hard to sleep tonight. They know that Santa's on his way; He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh. And every mother's child is going to spy, To see if reindeer really know how to fly. And so I'm offering this simple phrase, To kids from one to ninety-two, Although its been said many times, many ways, A very Merry Christmas to you
